#### **We are at a crossroads, and people know it. The future gets shaped by what we build, what we fund, what we normalize, and whether we choose fear or shared humanity.**

You can feel this in regular life. In conversations with friends. In the weight people seem to be carrying. In the constant churn of outrage, division, fear, and bad news. Under all of that, I think there is something deeper going on.

I think we are at a crossroads as a society.

One path leads toward a future where we use technology, creativity, science, and human ingenuity to make life better. We cure disease. We tackle cancer. We build cleaner energy. We create jobs with real purpose. We explore. We invent. We care for people. We use the tools in our hands to bring more light, more beauty, more hope, and more joy into the world.

The other path is darker, and you do not have to look very hard to see it. Fear as a strategy. Division as a business model. Power hoarded by people who benefit when everybody else stays angry, suspicious, exhausted, and turned against each other. More destruction. More cruelty. More systems built to control instead of serve.

That is the crossroads.

#### One of the things that stirred this in me again was watching **Artemis**.

There is something powerful about seeing our country reach for the moon again. It reminds you who we can be when we decide to dream bigger than our outrage. It reminds you that human beings are still capable of courage, imagination, discipline, cooperation, and wonder.

That kind of thing matters.

For a minute, you remember what it feels like to look up. You remember that progress still means something. You remember that exploration still matters. You remember that there is more in us than fighting, posturing, and feeding the darkest instincts in the room.

I think people are desperate for that right now.

Not another leader who traffics in fear. Not another voice trying to make us smaller, meaner, more suspicious, more divided, more hopeless. People are hungry for leadership that can actually dream. Leadership that can share a vision of the future that feels worth building. Leadership that calls people toward something better instead of dragging them deeper into darkness.

Because fear is loud, but it is weak.

#### **Love is stronger. Unity is stronger. Hope is stronger. A shared vision is stronger.**

None of that is soft. None of that is naive. It takes far more courage to build than to destroy. It takes more strength to unite than to divide. It takes more character to tell people the truth and call them upward than to keep them angry for personal gain.

That is why I care so much about how we use tools.

Technology is a tool. AI is a tool. Science is a tool. Energy is a tool. Media is a tool. Art is a tool.

What matters is the heart behind it.

We can use tools to manipulate people, isolate people, exploit people, and flood the world with more noise and fear. Or we can use tools to heal, encourage, create, connect, teach, solve problems, and bring some joy back into a world that badly needs it.

That part matters to me personally.

I want to use tools to make music that helps somebody breathe a little deeper. I want to use tools to create art that makes people stop and feel something real. I want to use tools to tell the truth, encourage people, advocate for those who are hurting, and bring more light into places that feel heavy. To me, that is part of the responsibility. Not only asking what a tool can do, but asking what kind of world we are helping build with it.

Because the future is not showing up one day like a movie.

#### **We are building it right now.**

We are building it in what we reward, what we normalize, what we fund, what we create, the kind of leaders we follow, and the kind of people we decide to become.

If we have the money to bomb, destroy, manipulate, and dominate, then we have the money to heal, explore, cure, educate, and care for people. We have the ability. We have the tools. We have the talent. The real question is whether we still have the will.

I think a lot of us do.

I think a lot of people are tired of the darkness.

I think a lot of people are starving for a future they can believe in.

I know I am.

I want the future where we keep reaching. Where we keep building. Where we keep caring. Where we put our brightest minds to work on helping people live healthier, fuller, more meaningful lives. Where clean energy keeps moving forward. Where good jobs exist. Where technology serves humanity. Where exploration reminds us that we are part of something bigger. Where leadership invites us into courage instead of fear.

**That is the future I want.**

And I do not think I’m alone.

So here is the question I keep coming back to:

**Which future are you helping build?**
