As the year draws to a close and the holiday season fills the air with warmth and reflection, I find myself looking back on 2024 with a mix of pride, gratitude, and excitement for what lies ahead. It’s been a year of progress, connection, and meaningful moments both professionally and personally, and I want to take some time to celebrate and share these with you.
A Year of Impact at Work
This year, Heritage Health reached one of its most significant milestones: the opening of the Center for Healthy Living. This isn’t just a new building; it’s a space designed with purpose—a symbol of hope and healing for our community. Moving our Behavioral Health programs into this new space was a pivotal step forward, creating a welcoming and integrated environment for patients and staff alike. It’s a space where lives will change, care will flourish, and our mission will continue to shine.
But the Center for Healthy Living is just one part of what made 2024 so meaningful at Heritage Health. From expanding programs and streamlining resources to building stronger partnerships and earning recognition as a leader in community health, this has been a year of growth and innovation. None of this would have been possible without the incredible team at Heritage Health. Their dedication and compassion are the driving forces behind every success.
Finding Joy and Connection Through Creativity
Outside of work, my creative pursuits have been a source of joy and connection, offering a way to share stories and hope with others. This year, I’ve been humbled by the reach and impact of my work. My music has surpassed nearly 200,000 plays worldwide, a milestone that reinforces the power of storytelling and connection. Sharing my art on an international stage, including a show in Norway, was an unforgettable experience. Closer to home, I’m honored to have several pieces featured in a local gallery, and I’m preparing for two art shows in 2025 that I hope will inspire and connect even more people.
Looking ahead, I’m exploring innovative ways to blend my music and visual art into immersive experiences. Whether it’s through a painting, a song, or a combination of both, creating gives me a sense of purpose that complements everything else I do. It’s deeply rewarding to see how these creations resonate with others, bringing light, strength, and connection into their lives.
Family Adventures and Life’s Changing Seasons
On the personal side, this year has been a beautiful reminder of how life evolves. Our kids are off chasing their dreams, and it’s been inspiring to watch. Jake is in Boise, working hard to become an electrician and building a life he’s passionate about. Cameron is in New Zealand, embracing an adventure of a lifetime as he hones his craft in hospitality at a stunning restaurant. Meanwhile, Sammie, now a Junior in high school, is still at home with us. She’s strong, compassionate, and constantly impresses me with her determination and heart. I’m so grateful for the time we still have with her.
Kellie continues to thrive, sharing her love for Pilates with her clients and helping them feel strong, confident, and healthy. Her passion and dedication are truly inspiring. And when I’m not working or creating, hockey keeps me busy and grounded, offering a chance to connect with friends and enjoy the challenge of the game.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we move into 2025, I’m filled with excitement and optimism. Whether it’s through my work at Heritage Health, my art and music, or the moments shared with family and friends, I’m ready to embrace what’s next. The year ahead holds so much potential—two art shows, new creative projects, deeper community connections, and continued growth both personally and professionally. It’s a chance to build on the momentum we’ve created this year and keep reaching for new heights.
To my family, my friends, my team at Heritage Health, and everyone who has supported me this year—thank you. Your encouragement, love, and belief in me fuel everything I do. This holiday season, I hope we all take time to pause and appreciate what truly matters: the people we love, the connections we share, and the moments that bring us joy.
From my family to yours, I wish you a holiday season filled with peace, love, and laughter. Here’s to a bright and beautiful 2025! Let’s keep creating, connecting, and making the world a better place, one step at a time.
