On paper, those may look like different lives. To me, they’re one: nearly 30 years of trying to listen closely, tell the truth, and help people feel less alone. That’s why I’ve never been interested in picking just one lane.

Three ideas that shape everything I do
The older I get, the more convinced I am that paying attention is a superpower. To people. To ordinary moments. To the conversation everyone else rushed past. Nearly everything I’ve written, built, or learned started because I noticed something that deserved another look.
Life is complicated enough. I don’t think good ideas should be. Whether I’m writing a book, leading a healthcare organization, recording a podcast, making music, or exploring what AI makes possible, my goal stays the same. Tell the truth in words people recognize. Leave someone with an idea they can carry into tomorrow.
Everything on this site begins with one simple belief. People come first. Technology keeps changing. The responsibility for how we use it doesn’t. I believe AI should help us think more deeply, create more freely, and spend more time doing the things only people can do. The judgment, the empathy, the values, and the responsibility still belong to us.
